Fieldtrips

Picture
The four projects within the Life and the Planet programme research diverse regions of the world. Every year there will be field trips taking place on different continents.
As one example, in September 2011, Project I coorganised with the Nanjing Institute of Geology and Palaeontology an excursion from the North China craton to its South China counterpart, running through several provinces in China.
Besides rock bashing and sampling, the group also made interesting photos during the field trip, which show the beautiful landscape and the cultural diversity of diverse parts of China. You can see some of these photos in our photo gallery: Others.
