I completed a PhD in experimental geochemistry at the University of Edinburgh. My work mainly focussed on the behaviour of iron isotopes during geochemical reactions occurring within the sedimentary Fe-S-H2O system, in order to give new constraints to the use of the "Fe isotope tool" for tracing redox cycles. My postdoctoral research now combines both natural rock geochemistry and experimental work. I'm interested in the response of nutrients and metals bioavailability in relation to the redox chemistry of the Neoproterozoic oceans. In autumn 2011, I took part in geological fieldwork in central and southern China, my main area of research.
